My photography is editorial meets fly-on-the-wall, meaning I don’t ever want to allow trends or over overplanning to distract me from photographing YOU.
I use colors as a writer would use words in their writing. I always ask myself what is it I want to communicate in a scene, and how can colors assist in that self-expression? Just as a writer carefully chooses certain words to emphasize a point, I use colors to define the mood and draw the viewer to the main feature in an image. I tend to use colors selectively to highlight the main features while toning down others that have the potential to take away from the image. This creates depth, harmony and provides a natural transition giving the viewer a sense of place in the scene.
No two stories should ever feel or look the same. The beauty in my art is that I intend on capturing every angle of your beautiful life, unafraid of the blurriness and mess. Everyone requires something different. I only hope it shows in how I choose to tell a story, or direct or edit.
